How it happened
The Story
Deep in the bowels of cubicle land.
An adept project manager realized that the best way to encourage software
developers was to feed them. He supplied the developers with a variety of
pretzel bribes. During a pretzel binge session, a developer realized that
there were letters trapped inside some of the pretzels. It became a
mission to let them all out. Soon an entire pretzel alphabet was
developed.
As this pretzel alphabet was nearing completion it began to attract more
attention from other cubicle occupants. This is a bad thing in cubical
land; there can be no happiness or fun. Soon, the pointy haired manager
swaggered up and suggested that someone "clean this mess up". Well, at
that, the movement had to go underground.
The pretzels were quickly photographed with a digital camera and the images
were smuggled out of the company. The original pretzels were almost lost
as a careless developer almost disposed of them. The pretzels were hidden
in a discarded box of headache medicine (We need a lot of this).
Then, they too were smuggled out of the company to a safe location.
At this point the PretzelFont website was created so that we could always be
able to express our feeling with our original pretzel alphabet.
